Nalini Rajkumar is a talented and experienced cook, who has her own catering business. Nalini will be sharing her skills and knowledge of how to cook a range of Sri Lankan and Indian dishes to perfection. We will watch her in action cooking delicious meals such as lamb curry,  dahl, Kale varai (kale stirfry with coconut), Cucumber and Carrot Raita and yellow rice to name a few. If we have vegetarians register we can also make a paneer and chickpea curry!  We will then get a chance to feast on the food that is prepared over lunch. Yum!

Parking Info

Please park next to Thompson Hall. We do not have our own parking, but please feel free to drive up close to drop off equipment before parking if required.

Building 32 is located at the back of the estate. Enter via Seven Hills Rd, turn right through main carpark to access the tree lined avenue and turn left. Drive past the tennis courts and you will find Thompson Hall on your left to park. Then walk down the avenue to the right where you will find building 32.

If vegetarian, please let us know so Nalini can ensure there is also a vegetable curry available

Refund Policy

If the class needs to be cancelled by The Hills Women's Shed, paid attendees will be notified and a full refund will be provided.  If a person who has paid to attend needs to cancel their attendance. If you email The Hills Women's Shed with a minimum of 24 hours notice then a refund will be provided. Failure to attend a workshop on the day will incur a $5 administration fee with the remainder eligible for refund.

The Hills Women's Shed is run from a council owned heritage building which is not currently wheelchair accessible but we are exploring ways to become more accessible so please notify us if you require specific access so we can discuss what is possible.
